Jungle Justice Over Missing Banga Leaves Two Dead in Okpara Waterside

Tension has reportedly gripped Okpara Waterside following the death of a young man identified as Marvis, who was allegedly beaten to death over the disappearance of banga belonging to a man identified as Benjamin.

According to reports, Benjamin and his friends allegedly abducted Marvis from his father’s residence on Tuesday after suspecting him of stealing the missing banga.

The group reportedly took him to an undisclosed location, where he was allegedly subjected to severe beating.

Marvis reportedly lost consciousness during the assault.

He was later taken back and dumped at his father’s compound, where he was found dead.

Following the incident, Marvis’ friends allegedly mobilised to search for Benjamin and his associates.

During the search, a man identified as Rawlings was reportedly shot dead while allegedly appealing to the group to remain calm.

Benjamin has reportedly been arrested and detained at the Isiokolo Police Station, while the bodies of Marvis and Rawlings have reportedly been deposited at a morgue.
