Oborevwori, Guwor, Dafinone Celebrate Orodje of Okpe at 20 Years on the Throne

Tributes have continued to pour in for the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom and Chairman of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council, His Royal Majesty, Maj. Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (Rtd), CFR, Orhue I, as he marks the 20th anniversary of his coronation.
Among those who paid glowing tributes were Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, and Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, all of whom commended the monarch’s leadership and contributions to peace, unity and development.
Governor Oborevwori described the monarch’s two-decade reign as one distinguished by wisdom, stability and purposeful leadership, noting that the Orodje has remained a dependable voice of peace and a strong partner in advancing development across Delta State through his role as Chairman of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council.
He praised the royal father’s commitment to preserving cultural heritage, promoting unity and offering valuable counsel on issues affecting the state, while praying for continued good health and many more years of peaceful reign.
Speaker Guwor also applauded the monarch’s 20 years on the throne, describing his reign as a period marked by peace, progress and cultural preservation. He said the Orodje has remained a unifying figure whose leadership has strengthened traditional institutions and contributed to the steady growth and stability of Okpe Kingdom and Delta State.
Senator Dafinone, speaking on behalf of his family, the people of Delta Central and the Urhobo nation, described the anniversary as a celebration of God’s faithfulness and the monarch’s unwavering dedication to the advancement of Okpe Kingdom.
He noted that the kingdom had witnessed significant economic, political and social progress under the monarch’s leadership, attributing the achievements to his commitment to peace, unity and the welfare of his people.
The senator prayed for continued wisdom, strength and good health for the royal father, expressing confidence that his reign would continue to inspire hope, unity and sustainable development across Okpe Kingdom and beyond.
The 20th coronation anniversary has drawn widespread goodwill from political leaders, traditional institutions and residents, with many describing the milestone as a celebration of two decades of impactful leadership and enduring service to the people of Okpe Kingdom and Delta State.
