Odebala Laments State of Oghara–Mosogar–Sapele Road, Calls Out Delta State Govt

Olorogun Ejaife Odebala, NDC Delta State Governorship Aspirant, has called on the Delta State Government to urgently deploy at least 20 personnel of the Delta State Traffic Management Agency (DESTMA) to manage traffic along the Oghara–Mosogar–Sapele Road.

Odebala, a former member/Chief Whip of the Delta State House of Assembly representing Sapele Constituency, and a former chairman of Sapele Local Government Area said the road is currently in a deplorable condition due to the failure of the APC-led Federal Government to carry out the necessary repairs.

He added that the hardship faced daily by motorists and commuters can be significantly reduced through effective traffic management.

He urged the Delta State Government to ensure that DESTMA personnel work in collaboration with officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) stationed within the area, with adequate security support from the Nigeria Police Force to maintain order and ensure the free flow of traffic.

Odebala noted that effective traffic control would reduce the long hours commuters spend in gridlock and help minimize the frequent accidents recorded along the corridor.

He also commended Senator Adams Oshiomhole for raising the issue on the floor of the Senate and calling on the Federal Minister of Works to give immediate attention to the rehabilitation of the road, considering its strategic importance to the South-South region and the nation at large.
