Warri Kingdom Set for Stronger Cultural, Tourism Push After Minister’s Visit

The Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, has reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to partnering with the Warri Kingdom to preserve its rich cultural heritage and promote tourism following a courtesy visit to His Majesty, Ògíamẹ̀ Atúwàtsẹ III, CFR, the Olu of Warri.

During the visit, Musawa and His Majesty, Ògíamẹ̀ Atúwàtsẹ III held discussions on the forthcoming fifth coronation anniversary of the revered monarch and explored collaborative efforts aimed at preserving and promoting the Kingdom’s cultural heritage.

The minister said the meeting highlighted the vital role of traditional institutions as custodians of Nigeria’s history, identity and cultural wealth.

According to Musawa, the discussions centred on strategic areas of collaboration that will safeguard the Warri Kingdom’s invaluable heritage assets while unlocking opportunities for tourism development, youth empowerment, investment, cultural preservation and greater global recognition.

The minister expressed optimism about the partnership, stating that the Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy looks forward to working with the Warri Kingdom to ensure its remarkable history and cultural legacy continue to inspire future generations while attracting more visitors, investors and global attention to Nigeria.
