“The Delta State Government has approved the conversion of Model Technical College, Omadino, to the Omadino Campus of Federal Polytechnic Orogun.
The approval was contained in a circular dated August 18, 2026, signed by the Director of Standards, Quality Assurance, Ufuoma Idiegbe, for the Commissioner for Technical Education.
The circular stated: “His Excellency, The Governor has approved the conversion of Model Technical College, Omadino to Federal Polytechnic Orogun, Omadino campus.”
Consequently, the Principal and all teaching and non-teaching staff of the college have been directed to “migrate and assume duty at Model Technical College, Oghareki for the 2026/27 academic session.”
The ministry also directed the Principal to inform parents and guardians of old and incoming students about the development, adding that interested parents could enrol their children or wards at Model Technical College, Oghareki.
The circular was issued from the Ministry of Technical Education headquarters at the Prof. Chike Edozien Secretariat Complex, Asaba.
