Delta Govt Reviews Warri Wolves Players, Staff Salaries Ahead of New NPFL Season

The Delta State Government has approved an upward review of salaries for players and officials of Warri Wolves Football Club as part of efforts to strengthen the team ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The announcement was made by the Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission and Commissioner for Sports, Hon. Onoriode Joshua Oborevwori, during a working visit to the club’s training camp at the Chevron Clinic Facility Training Pitch in Ejeba, Warri.

Addressing the players and technical crew, Oborevwori reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to the club’s growth and success, assuring them of improved welfare and continued support.

He said the salary review reflects the government’s determination to reward dedication and hard work while creating the right environment for the team to compete at the highest level.

As part of the visit, the Sports Commission Chairman also presented a cash donation to the team to further boost morale as Warri Wolves intensify preparations for the new NPFL campaign through intensive training sessions and preseason friendly matches.
